California Dreamin'

After a long, long day driving yesterday, I'm finally in beautiful, cool, Santa Maria California. It's going to be a high of 75 degrees today. In Phoenix it's 112! The drive was fairly mundane until I hit the coast - in the space of 2 hours I saw deer running through a small canyon, the fire currently burning in Santa Barbara (I have pics that I will post later), and I got a speeding ticket. Officer Do-You-Know-How-Fast-You-Were-Going was nice enough to lower the actual MPH on the ticket... speeding is better than reckless driving I guess. Sheesh. IMO 85 ain't that fast.

Well, I'm going to figure out my day. The boys are at work and I'm left to snoop and chill. (I'm just kidding about the snooping.) I think I'll go drive around and see how lost I can get. :)
