I'm a graduate!
Graduation was incredible. It's all kind of a blur except hearing my name and walking across that stage. Just an incredible feeling.
The party Friday night was great - lots of people, lots of family, lots of food, lots of fun. The pool party on Saturday was great too. On Sunday I woke up and felt like I had been hit by a bus. LOL I guess all that excitement and activity hit me hard. BIL too; he got bronchitis. It took me until today to feel "normal."
Yesterday I went into the classroom for what I thought was a lunch time visit with my mentor teacher and the kids surprised the hell out of me with a party. They had food, cake and presents to celebrate my graduation. It was so cute and so wonderful!
Tomorrow I have a meeting with human resources at district and I think this will be the signing of my contract. Once that is signed it is "official." We'll tell the kids, we'll tell the parents, and it will be a completely done deal. Can you believe that!? I'll be teaching a 2nd/3rd grade dual language class!! Holy mierda.
