Here it comes!

Here comes the heat... it's 102 today and tomorrow it's going to be 108. I went as long as I could without AC, but couldn't take it anymore. I did pretty good though... this is the latest I've ever gone.

I've spent the entire weekend procrastinating and now I'm trying to get my butt in gear. My office is a wreck; papers piled every where, unopened bills, a stack of thank you letters to write, final literature logs to grade, and a bunch of papers to fill out for the district.

Speaking of which, as of last Thursday it is officially official. I signed the binding contract that says I accept the job offer! I was so excited I told everyone I ran into that day that I had signed it. Never mind they didn't know what the heck I was talking about!! HA HA. We also sent out notice to the parents and told the kids. The kids knew though... you can't really get anything by them. Not easily anyhow.

This coming week is the last week of school for the kids. While they are wrapping up the year, I'm taking inventory of all text books and materials so we can order what we need. I've also started a wish list of stuff I'd like to have... anyone win the lottery lately that would like to donate to my new class? I've also started to think about how I'd like to arrange the room for the coming year. Over the summer I've got to plan how I'm going to kick off the year. Up until now it's all been theory in a methods class... this time it's for real. Scary.

Speaking of summer, for sure I'm headed East at the end of May through the middle of June, and I'll be in CA with ex-husband and his husband for the fourth of July. I'd like to hit a beach and visit Monterrey... but other than VA and CA nothing set yet. Yay summer!
