And there it goes...

Snow in the high country and rainy in the 70s here. So weird!!!

School is over and the classroom packed up and ready for its new coat of paint and new rug. In July I'll get in there and arrange the furniture and stock the shelves... speaking of which, none of that stuff is provided. Teachers buy EVERYTHING, including the paper kids use to write on and draw on, construction paper, rulers, glue, post its...everything. We get $125 in August to get this stuff from the warehouse and that's supposed to last us an entire year. Staplers, tape, file folders... if we want the kids to have spiral notebooks we have to buy them or ask the parents to buy them... art supplies? Pencils? Pens? Markers? Crayons? Classroom decorations for the bulletin boards? Calendars? Highlighters? All bought and paid for by the teacher. It's a crime, really, considering teachers' salaries. Anyhow, regardless of that injustice, it will be fun to get in there and get the room ready.

Ok, I'm high on diet coke and have a to do list a mile long (plus some procrastinating to do) so I'd better get to it. Smile Later, dudes.
