Ugh
I'm home, sick with a sinus infection and a cold. Doctor said it was viral but what does he know? Antibiotics DO help, and even though they say you should not take them that much I prefer fast relief from the extreme pain to the possibility of building up a tolerance. Three doses later and I'm still stick but not in as much pain. That, to me, is worth it.
So I'm banished from work (yesterday and today), I'm trying to look at this as a time to catch up and re-group, but honestly I don't feel well enough to do a damn thing. The most I could do so far today is to take a shower and get back in bed after moving practically my whole office and school stuff into the bedroom. I had grandiose ideas of working in bed but... uh, yeah. All I really wanna do is try to get some sleep.
So, quick update before I do. School is going ok. I have so much to learn about the day to day running of a class, grading, keeping kids up-to-date, winging it, being prepared in case of days off sick; and the list goes on of stuff I need to learn. It's frustrating to me that I'm not perfect or good at it right off the bat, but I always feel like that when I start something new. Need to just get over it and give myself a break.
Speaking of break, spring break is in a week and I'm looking forward to it very much. And graduation is in 63 days.

¡Oyes Babosa! Ponga tus nalgas en la cama & keep them there. Hazte un caldo caliente de bacalao (antibiótico vizcaíno), mi chupacabra linda. And don't even think about eating mole Oaxaquéña, wearing a calcomanía or joining un matrimonio colectivo. ¡No manches Guey!
(As Julie Andrews used to say, "these are a few of your favorite words..."
Papá Chupacabra
Did you take too much ginko today?
