Teachers are not allowed to get sick

True. But what happens when you do? And it's not a sinus infection. It's strep. I have strep. Sore throat, swollen glands, temperature over 101, aches, pains, chills, strep. And on the 3rd day of school?! I have been in bed since Friday afternoon and I'm miserable. I was supposed to feel better today but I really don't. So I get a sub on the 4th day of school!? Ridiculous. Mad And if I do, I STILL have to plan the entire day and that involves a lot of work right now, AND going in in order to provide that sub with all he/she needs to get through the day. And really all I want to do right now is go back to bed and sleep.

I've said this before, I'll say it again. This is the toughest job I've ever had. At FM I would just call in sick, no fuss, no muss. Sigh.
