Uh.....OOPS!!

So I've been housebound all week right? And I haven't been out of the house much, except to swim. So today I decide it's time to go swimming and I open the door and set the damn alarm off. I haven't been out, so I hadn't turned it off. DUH!

I went to the kitchen to wait for the alarm company to call and check on me. The call came through, they asked if I was ok, I said yes that I had set the alarm off myself and... click. They hung up. Which is weird because they usually ask for a password to verify that it's me. But they didn't call back so I thought it was all cool. So I went swimming. Skinny dipping, actually. I mean, hey, it's my pool.

So there I am, swimming, when I hear a click of the back gate. I turn and there's a police officer!

"Hi miss, your alarm company called. Everything ok?"

Uh... I have never moved to the edge of the pool so fast. "Yes officer, I'm sorry, they called and I thought everything was fine."

"They said you got disconnected. You sure everything is ok?"

"Uh... yes. Um...I can't get out of the pool...Um...I...well...I...I'm not wearing a suit. But thanks for checking on me, and I'm really sorry!"

Until today I had never seen a police officer blush. But that ain't the end of it. I went back to swimming, laughing to myself; out loud of course. Thank god the neighbors didn't come check on me! But about 15 minutes later... Sister and BIL come storming into the house.

"Are you ok?? The alarm company called and said the alarm was going off. You didn't answer the phone, you didn't answer the text. Are you ok??"

Ohmygod, and me buck nekkid in the pool.
