What to do, what to do?

So Austria probably won't work out, and now I'm back to wondering what to do for the summer break. I have had an invitation to go to Mexico with a friend... her father lives near the Pacific and she goes every year in June... I do want to hit the East Coast... I'm DEFINITELY headed to Cali to see ex-husband and his husband sometime in late June, early July... And in the meantime flights keep getting more and more expensive... And gas? I paid $3.25/gallon yesterday! THANK GOD I work right around the corner from where I live. Who in the hell can afford a freakin' commute?!

Student teaching is going very well these days. I finally feel I have handle on the day in, day out administration of running a classroom. Don't get me wrong, I have A LOT to learn still about teaching and running a classroom... I'm just better at it now than I was in February! I'm very much looking forward to having my own students and classroom next year! I just hope I don't mess anyone up for life. Confused

I have one more week of full control, and then the week of April 21 I start handing back the class one content area at a time. By the end of that week I'll be back to observing this and other classes most of the time. And then graduation is one week after that. In 27 days. Wow.

You may not want to come to California. We paid $3.85 today for gas. Yay! :-\
