Banana pecan pancakes and other news

I applied for graduation today. The honors cords in maroon and gold are AWESOME!

I attended two FANTASTIC teaching seminars on Saturday given by Rich Allen. He is an incredible speaker, he gave us some great ideas to incorporate into the classroom, and he was just very, very inspirational. So glad I went!

I ran into Sorority Barbie and Dingy Barbie from my first semester at school at the seminars. They are both also student teaching now. God help us all.

Ex-husband and his husband were here this weekend for their annual trek to AZ. Got to hang out, have dinner and breakfast, and enjoy their company for a short while. Very nice. Wish they lived closer!

Plans for graduation and subsequent party are shaping up. I have my grad announcements in hand, ready to address, stamp and mail; and Sister, BIL and I have decided on food and location of said party. But BIL and I haven't yet decided on an invitation, how to word it, yadda yadda yadda, so nothing has gone in the mail yet. We'll get there!

What else? I'm having the exterior of the house painted. It's in serious need of a face lift, so this is the year it gets it. Especially since there will be visitors in May!

I need a face lift, but whatever. And oh, I had banana pecan pancakes for breakfast. They tasted great then, but not feeling so great now. Oh well. Sometimes one must suffer for love.
